One half of the A.O team travelled east yesterday to see the fantastic Surface gallery and its current show.
(we would like to formally apologise for the angel in which the work was shot from, the member of the A.O team that went was only five foot and it really isn't a great height to take photos at galleries)
Nottingham is slowly and loudly making it's name as a city for artists, between its beauty, history and lovely creative quarter, rivalling that of Edinburgh, Manchester and Bristol.
The Surface Gallery is an amazing place in Nottingham centre offering workshops to hosting amazing show presenting the works of graduates and new practitioners to more established artists.
This is the second year of the international postcard show, all the work that was submitted had to be strictly the size of a postcard nothing less or more, the range of work from that of school children to seasoned artist was curated wonderfully.
The pictures taken were ones that I particularly liked and stood out to me. I must confess it was hard to select a few photos without giving you a shot by shot of the whole show.
The exhibition end on the 13 of February so if you get a chance pop in to see it.
